暑い夏は海で過ごそう " Spend the hot summer at sea. "

もう8月９日、真夏の日々です。

It's already August 9th, and it's midsummer days.

日本国内では最高気温40℃を超える場所もあるようですが、ここ宮崎の私の住んでいる地域は海に近いせいか、30℃～35℃が最高気温になってます。

Japan in Japan, there seem to be places where the maximum temperature exceeds 40°C, but here in Miyazaki, perhaps because of its proximity to the sea, 30°C ~ 35°C is the maximum temperature.

Today, among my paintings that I have drawn so far, I will paint a picture related to the sea.

いずれもグラビア写真などを参考に描いた海と美人です。

Both are the sea and beauty drawn with reference to gravure photographs.

麦わら帽子をかぶった素敵な女性が、綺麗な海辺を歩く姿もいいですね。

It is also nice to see a lovely woman wearing a straw hat walking along the beautiful seaside.

最後は僕の大好きな漫画家「わたせせいぞう」さんの挿絵を真似て・・・

At the end, I imitated the illustration of my favorite manga artist "Seizo Watase" ...

夏の風物詩 " Summer Traditions "

夏と言えばあの打ち上げ花火。

Speaking of summer, that fireworks display.

豪快で綺麗で・・・・やっぱり観たくなりますね。 

It's gorgeous and beautiful... I want to see it.

孫娘たちと家で楽しむ花火も素晴らしい(^^♪

南国のパラダイス " Tropical Paradise!! "

前回に続いて、今日も台湾の風景。

Following on from last time, the scenery of Taiwan is still here today.

有名な貿易港「基隆」。

The famous trading port "Keelung".

手前の埠頭には軍艦が停泊しています。

A warship is anchored at the wharf in the foreground.

港の奥の方を眺めると、中国の豪華客船が停泊中

Looking at the back of the port, a Chinese luxury cruise ship is at anchor.

この風景は、何度も仕事で訪ねた台湾、最後は２０１５年に娘と一緒に観光しました。

This scenery is Taiwan that I visited many times for work, and the last time I went sightseeing with my daughter in 2015.

あの台湾が、今、中国本土政府と緊張状態にあるのではないかと思います。

I believe that Taiwan is currently in a state of tension with the Chinese mainland government.

きっと、この景色を見下ろしているあの観音像はこの国の平和を願ていると思います。

I am sure that the Guanyin statue overlooking this scenery wishes for peace in this country.
 

あの懐かしい風景を " I want to see that nostalgic scenery again. "

 COVID-19が蔓延し始めたから2年半を過ぎました、まだ一向に収まる気配がない。

 It's been two and a half years since COVID-19 began to spread, and it still shows no signs of abating.

海外旅行が少し緩和されてきましたが、この状況では二の足を踏みます。

International travel has eased a bit, but in this situation I am too anxious to go anywhere.

そんな今、思い出すのが台湾の風景

台湾北東部の野柳の海岸の風景がなつかしい。

The scenery of the coast of Yehliu Geopark in northeastern Taiwan is familiar.

かっては中国本土からの観光客もとても多かったこの場所。

In the past, there were many tourists from mainland China.

今はまだ閑散とした状態が続いているはずです

It should still be quiet right now.

世界中にまん延しているウィルスが収束して、また、世界を緊張させている侵攻(戦争)の恐怖が無くなり、平和に世界中を行き来できるよう本当に祈っています。

I really pray that the virus that is spreading around the world will be brought under control, that the fear of invasion (war) that is tensing the world will disappear, and that we will be able to travel around the world peacefully.  

真夏の夜に " On a Midsummer Night. "

今年はやはりとても暑い夏になりました。

This year, it was a very hot summer.

暑い日が続く夜は、やはり心を解放されたいですね

On nights when hot days continue, I want to release my mind.

僕の街でも久しぶりの花火大会があって、たくさんの若者が集まってきました。

Even in my city, there was a fireworks display for the first time in a long time, and many young people gathered.

やっぱり心が躍りますね(^^♪

この夏もまたCOVID-19が蔓延を続け、すっきりしない日々が続いていますが、素敵な明日を期待して、頑張りましょうよ。

This summer is once again plagued by COVID-19 and some of the less refreshing days ahead, but let's hope for a nice tomorrow and do our best.

 

大都会、大阪 " Osaka, a big city "

大都会「大阪」

Big city "Osaka"

先日も投稿したけど、この街のシンボル「大阪城」を空から撮影

As I posted the other day, I took a picture of the symbol of this city "Osaka Castle" from the sky.

すぐ近くには街を映すミラーガラスの高層ビル

In the immediate vicinity is a high-rise building with mirror glass reflecting the city.

不思議な風景ですね

It's a strange scenery.

この街は古くから商業で栄えた街。　

This city has prospered from commerce since ancient times.

僕が最初に大阪で仕事をした頃には高いビルといえば、大阪駅の近くにある"丸ビル(茶色のビル)"しか無かった、でも今は周りに高層ビルディングが林立している。

When I first worked in Osaka, the only tall buildings were the "Maru Building "(brown building) near Osaka Station, but now there are many high-rise buildings around it.

少し離れた南側の天王寺という場所に、今は日本一高いビル「あべのハルカス」がある。

A little further away in the place called Tennoji Temple on the south side, there is now the tallest building in the Japan, "Abeno Harukas".

東京には日本で一番高い電波塔「スカイツリー」があるけれど、ここも周りには高いビルが少ないので、孤高のビルですね。

In Tokyo, there is the Sky Tree, the tallest radio tower in the Japan, but there are few tall buildings around here, so it is a solitary building.
 

都会と田舎 " Urban and rural "

今日はわが田舎町、宮崎市と都会の大阪市を紹介します。

Today, I would like to introduce our rural town, Miyazaki City, and the urban city of Osaka.

最初の写真は手前に宮崎県総合運動公園、と左側の海岸が来崎浜と言ってサーフィンの世界大会が行われる場所です、向こう側に観光地で有名な青島があります。

The first photo is of the Miyazaki Prefectural Sports Park in the foreground, and the coast on the left is called Kisakihama and is the place where the surfing world competition is held, and on the other side there is Aoshima, which is famous for its sightseeing spots.

見えている球場は、冬には読売巨人軍がキャンプをします。

The ballpark in view is where the Yomiuri Giants camp in winter.

次の写真は同じく、オリックスバッファローズがキャンプをするソッケンスタジアムが写っています。

The next photo also shows Sokken Stadium, where the Orix Buffaloes are camping.

次は大阪・・・・どのあたりでしょうか、久宝寺緑地ですね。

Next up is Osaka, which is the Kuhoji Green Area?

次は大阪のど真ん中、中の島辺りを撮っているのですが、高いビルがとても多いですね。

Next, I'm taking a picture of the Nakanoshima area, in the middle of Osaka, and there are so many tall buildings.

やはり人口密度がとても高い場所です。

最後は宮崎ブーゲンビリア空港へのアプローチ中、宮崎市外地が見えてますが高いビルはほとんどありません。

Finally, while approaching Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport, you can see the outer area of Miyazaki City, but there are almost no tall buildings.

 

緑豊かな田舎町です。

It is a leafy country town.

でも、心に余裕をもって穏やかに暮らせる街なんですよ。

However, it is a city where you can live peacefully with plenty of room in your heart.

時代を超えて「大阪城」 " Timeless "Osaka Castle" "

  大阪城が最初に築城されたのは西暦1585年。 

  Osaka Castle was first built in 1585 AD. 

実に437年も前のことです。

That was 437 years ago.

大阪という大都市の真ん中で、このような異様を誇っています。

In the middle of the big city of Osaka, we boast such a strange thing.

お濠の周りは、このような現代の高層ビルが林立しています。

Around the moat, such modern high-rise buildings stand out.

不思議と戦国時代と現代がそこにあるんです。

Strangely, the Sengoku period and the present day are there.

400年以上前に、壮大な夢を描いていた人が、人の力だけで建築されたこの城。

More than 400 years ago, this castle was built by people who dreamed of grand dreams only by the power of man.

その時代の人々の技術の総意がここにつぎ込まれたのだと思います。

I think that the consensus of the technology of the people of that era was poured into this.

大阪城公園の中の森、この城の建築前はもっと深い森だったと思います

The forest in Osaka Castle Park, I think it was a deeper forest before the construction of this castle.

こんな場所に巨大な城と中には金銀の贅をつくした品物も、人の背丈ほどある金の鯱に獲物を狙う金の虎、当時の権力を示すように設置されたのでしょうね。

In such a place, a huge castle and some extravagant items of gold and silver were also set up to show the power of the time, a golden tiger aiming at prey on a golden carp about the height of a person.

時代を超えて、大阪の街を見守っていてくれたのでしょうか?

ハワイの友人へ「ご無沙汰してます、お元気ですか?」 " To my friend in Hawaii, "I'm sorry, how are you?" "

日本の航空会社もハワイへの定期路線を再開したようですね。

It seems that Japan airlines have also resumed regular flights to Hawaii.

長いこと行けてなかったハワイ、やはり早く行きたいんです。 

I haven't been able to go to Hawaii for a long time, but I want to go there as soon as possible.

ハワイの友人(写真)に連れて行ってもらったダイヤモンドヘッド。

火口の登山口まで行って、「俺ここで待っているから一人で登って来いよ」

と言われて一人で駆け上りました

I went to the crater and said, "I'll be waiting for you here, so come climb alone."

I ran up by myself!!😫

左の横顔が僕、太っちょの彼は母親が両親が沖縄出身でハワイで苦労されたらしい。

The profile on the left is me, the fat guy whose mother is from Okinawa and seems to have had a hard time in Hawaii.

彼は、少し古い話だけど日本のサーフィン誌でも紹介されるような有名なサーファーだったんだ。

He was a famous surfer, a bit old-fashioned, but one of the most famous surfers featured in Japan surfing magazines.

Pictures from when they were introduced to the magazine... Kinda old.

彼が僕の泊まっているホテルに迎えに来て、俺の家に泊まれとホテルをキャンセルし彼の家に1週間お世話になった。

He picked me up at the hotel where I was staying, cancelled the hotel to stay at my house, and stayed at his house for a week.

彼の母親の店(大きなドライブイン)でお世話になり、そこでお手伝いをしながらハワイの休日を過ごした。　お母さんホントにお世話になりました。

He took care of his mother's shop (a big drive-in) and spent his Hawaiian holidays there helping out.　Your mother really took care of you.

綺麗な別荘のような家で僕は彼の持ってるロングボード(４０本くらいあった)の立ててある部屋に寝泊まりしました。

In a beautiful villa-like house, I slept in a room with a longboard (there were about 40 of them) that he had.

今度行くときはお土産いっぱい持っていきます(#^^#)

Next time I go, I will bring a lot of souvenirs (#^^#)

空港と飛行機 " Airports and airplanes "

最近は飛行機もたくさん飛び始めましたね。

Recently, started flying a lot of airplanes.

これは大阪(伊丹)国際空港

This is Osaka (Itami) International Airport.

映画のキャラクターを機体に描いた飛行機を見つけるのも楽しみですね。

I'm also looking forward to finding airplanes that depict movie characters on them.

次は、宮崎空港にある航空大学校の練習機。

Next up is a training aircraft from the Aviation College at Miyazaki Airport.

以前は教授や教官と仲良くさせてもらってました。

In the past, I used to get along well with professors and instructors.

最近新しい機体に変わっています。

It has recently been transformed into a new aircraft.

以前は訓練飛行の様子をよく録画していました

I used to record a lot of training flights.

ここから世界の空を飛び回るエアラインの機長候補も排出されるんですね(#^^#)

From here, the candidates for the captaincy of airlines flying around the world will also be discharged (#^^#).
