もう８年くらい前に訪れた大分県竹田市にある岡城の城址。
I posted about Osaka Castle in the series earlier, but today I changed my taste a little and talked about the castle ruins.
I visited the castle of Oka Castle in Takeda City, Oita Prefecture about 8 years ago.
写真に写っている道路はメロディロードとしても知られています。
あの時は晩秋の頃の城跡で、何故だか物悲しい感じでした。
The road shown in the photo is also known as Melody Road.
It was the ruins of a castle in late autumn, and for some reason it was a sad feeling.
葉の落ちた木が立ち並び、城壁が際立って見える。
Fallen trees stand side by side, and the ramparts stand out.
標高２９０mくらいの場所だと思いますが、晩秋を強く感じさせます。
I think it is a place at an altitude of about 290m, but it makes you feel strongly in late autumn.
あの作曲家、滝廉太郎の「荒城の月」で有名な場所です。
メロディーロードで聞ける曲です。
It is famous for the composer Rentaro Taki's "Koujyo no-Tsuki/ (Moon of Ruined Castle)".
It is a song that can be heard on Melody Road.
もう一つ同じような城跡があるんですよね・・・・。
兵庫県、和田山にある竹田城。
There is another similar castle ruin...
Takeda Castle is located in Wadayama, Hyōgo Prefecture.
何故か似ていると思いませんか、この二つの場所。

大分の岡城も霧が出た時は同じような風景を眺めるときができるのではないかと思います。
I think that when the fog comes out of Oita's Oka Castle, you can do it when you look at the same scenery.
