手作り帆船メイキング「日本丸」/Homemade sailboat making "Nipponmaru"

横浜の「みなとみらい」に展示してある帆船「日本丸」

The sailboat exhibited in "Minatomirai" in Yokohama "Nipponmaru"

僕にとっては「日本丸」は「白く美しい貴婦人」

For me, "Nipponmaru", "white and beautiful lady"

ずっと、以前からこの船の模型を造りたいと思った、キットモデルも売っているけど、キットで　30000円以上とモデルとしては高価な上に、組み立て制作時間が標準で300時間とある

The kit models who thought they would like to make a model of this ship from before sell them, too, but it's much expensive as more than \30,000 ($300) and a model by a kit and assembly production time is standard and is here with 300 hours.

僕は自分の家にある不用品を利用して、手作り品の制作に、この夏(7月)にスタートした

I have started at this summer (Top of July) in production of homemade items using the disused article in my house.

写真をみて判りますか、ボディは不要になった発砲樹脂の箱を切り出して利用

マストは、高級の弁当などについている竹の箸を組み合わせて作成

デッキは、高級菓子や贈答品の木箱を利用しました

Is a picture seen and understood, a body cuts a box of the fire resin which became unnecessary down and uses it.

A mast combines and makes chopsticks of the bamboo which sticks to a luxury box lunch.

A deck used a luxury snack and a wooden box of presents.

自宅にある材料の量から推察して3隻制作を始め、まず試作品1隻に取り組んだ、もちろん各パーツすべて手作り

I infered from the amount of the material in the home, began 3 ships of production and worked on 1 sampler first, all each parts are homemade of course.

錨も、手作り、サイズは10mm程度

Anchors, making by hand and the size are about 10 mm.

錨を繋ぐチェーンは、100円ショップで買った装飾用のネックレスを利用

The chain with which an anchor is connected uses \100($1) of necklace for ornament bought at a shop.

 

マストに付けている梯子は、ミカンなどの入っているネット袋をカット して梯子に見えるように作り上げた。

The ladder which is being put on the mast was completed so that I might cut a net bag which contains an orange and see as a ladder.

セールも100円ショップで買った白い布をカットして作成

The white cloth \100($1) of sale also bought at a shop is cut and made.

作成をスタートして、丁度一か月目に1隻目が完成

(夏休みに帰省する娘と1か月程度で完成させると約束をしていた)

The 1st ship will start making, and is completed in the first month exactly.

(I promised to complete it in about 1 month with my daughter who returns home in the summer holidays.)

購入したのは、大半が100円ショップで買った材料で、ステンレスの細い針金、墨糸、水性塗料、接着剤に小さな釘、テープ類、竹串、等、費やした費用は3隻分で約4000円

Small nail, tape kinds, Takegushi and a spent cost are for 3 ships in stainless thin wire, marking string, water-based paint and glue by the material \100($1) of most part bought at a shop for buying it, about \4,000 ($40).

縮尺サイズは約　1/170

The reduced scale size is about 1/170.

仲のいい医師の友人に見せたら、「素晴らしい出来栄え」と誉めてくれたけど

1隻目はあくまでも試作品、いろいろな問題点が見つかった、

If it was shown to the doctor's friend with I'm on good terms, you praised with "the wonderful workmanship".

The 1st sampler and various problems were found to the end.

マストを張る帆柱、帆の造作、縮尺モデルとして多数の不満な場所を見つけた

Lot's of dissatisfied places were found as building and a reduced scale model of the mast and the sail on which a mast is stuck.

8月後半から改良型の帆船作成(2隻目)に取り組む

I work on sailboat making of the improvement type (the 2nd ship) from the second half August.

特に帆の作成には悩みました

I suffered from making of a sail in particular.

それに船首部分の安全ネットの造作(この白いネットに何を使ったか皆さんには判るかな?)

And building of safety net in a bow (Does everyone know what was used for this white net?)

本当に帆の作成は悩みました、僕は「白い貴婦人」美しさを決めるポイントでもあると考えた。

I thought making of a sail was also the point by which the "white lady" who worried decides beauty really.

一隻に29枚も使用する帆は、布を2重にして糸で手縫いして形を 整えることにしました

そしてデッキの上の構造物も、実際の船に近づくように部品を増やしました

A part was increased as the sail 29 for one ship also use decided to make the cloth double, do hand sewing by thread and arrange the shape and a structure on the deck might also approach an actual ship.

どうですか? 最初の一隻目と比べればグレードアップできたと思うのですが

How is it? I think it could be upgraded compared with the first first ship.

帆のカットと手縫いで形を整え、マストに取り付けを行います

The shape is arranged by a cut of a sail and hand sewing and it's installed in the mast.

どうですか? 1隻目と2隻目の出来栄えの違いは理解していただけますか

How is it? Could you understand the difference in the workmanship of the 1st ship and the 2nd ship?

制作開始から3か月経過しています 

It has passed for 3 months from production starting.

船体のデザインが寂しかったので、ここに「遊び心」を付加して、「人魚」と「イルカ」をデザインしてみました。

The design of the hull was deserted, so "youthful spirit" was added and "seamaid" and "dolphin" were designed here.

海峡「三つの瀬戸」 "three straits"

今日は和歌山県北部の海峡を紹介します

Straits in the Wakayama north is introduced today.

写真は2つの島で二つで「友が島」

Picture is two Island "Tomogashima" 

今日の写真は次の写真の看板の「現在地」付近で撮った写真で大阪湾(上/北側)と紀伊水道(下/南側)の間の三つの狭い海峡を撮ったものです

Today's picture took three small straits between Osaka-bay (the top/north side) and Kii-suido (the bottom/south side) with the picture taken around the "present location" of a sign of the next picture.

左側(西側)が淡路島、右側(東側)が和歌山県北部

The left side (the west side), Awajishima and the right side (the east side) are the Wakayama north.

次の写真は、上の看板の「現在地」より少し北側に下った地点で大阪湾を撮ってます

The next picture is taking Osaka-bay at the spot where I went down to the north side more slightly than a present location of an upper sign.

白い船はフェリー「サンフラワー」、向こう側が淡路島

Ferry "sunflower"(white ship) and the other side are Awajishima.

この辺の海は天然の漁場で、休日になると釣り船であふれます

大型船は航行するのに苦労する地点です

This sea around here is a natural fishing ground, and the large ship which will be flooded with a fishing boat in a holiday is the spot where I have trouble sailing.

Next picture is I who took a picture at a "present location" spot (I was running about by bicycle.)

カメラを望遠にして淡路島に焦点を合わせると、淡路島の洲本市由良漁港付近が撮れていると思います

When I make the camera zooming and bring Awajishima into focus, I think it can be taken around the Yura, Sumoto-city fishing port in Awajishima.

 

東側の瀬戸を通過して大阪湾へ入る貨物船

The cargo boat which passes a strait on the east side, and enters Osaka-bay.

The next picture is the one from the near side (east side) among two islands "Chinoshima".

後半の写真は、次の写真に写っているホテル「休暇村紀州加太」から撮ってます

Picture of the second half is being taken from the hotel where the next has its photograph taken "holiday camp Kishu Kata".

次の写真は、二番目の沖ノ島越しに淡路島を撮っています

Next picture is taking Awajishima over the second Okinoshima.

次の写真は手前が「城ケ﨑」、頻繁に自転車で行き、航行する船と、岩場で釣りをする人達を眺めていました

Front was looking at "castle Jyogasaki", the ship which frequently goes by bicycle and sails and the people who go fishing at rocky stretch for the next picture.

ここにも大好きな場所で、赤い鳥居の奥に人形供養で有名な「淡島神社」

The "Awashima shrine" which is also the place I like very much here and is famous for a doll memorial service in the inside of a red torii.

この周辺は、自転車でくまなく走り回りましたよ

This circumference ran about all over by bicycle.

台湾シリーズ② 基隆 "Taiwan-series(2) Keelung"

今日は、台湾第二の貿易港のある基隆市

Today is Taiwan Keelung with the second trading port city.

ちなみに台湾では貿易港としてのトップは高尾港です

By the way, the top as a trading port is Takao harbor in Taiwan.

写真撮影をした日は、時々小雨の降る曇りの天候・・・ちょっと残念でした

The cloudy weather by which it sometimes drizzles on the day of which I took a picture..., it was slightly regrettable.

The place of which I took a picture was taken from Zhongzheng park.

港の入り江の奥は観光港となっています、狭い入り江を航行するのは難しいでしょうね

The inside in an inlet in a harbor would be difficult to sail the small inlet which becomes tourist port, wouldn't it?

ここは夜景も綺麗だと評判です

When the night view is also beautiful here, it's famous.

中国からの大型クルーズ船も来航していました

 Large cruise ship from China also came by ship.

茶色い船体の軍艦も寄港していますね

A warship of a brown hull also stops at a port.

カメラを望遠にしてみると、艦橋で海兵が整列をして訓示を受けているような様子がみれました。

Sailor mans stood in line at a bridge, and the state given instructions could be thought to make the camera zooming.

カメラを外海に向けると、たくさんの大型クレーンやコンテナヤードが見えます、やはりたくさんの貨物をここで取り扱っているんですね

When a camera is turned to the ocean, a lot of large cranes and container yards are seen, a lot of freight is being treated here as expected,

中国から寄港しているという大型クルーズ船、一度に3000名以上の観光客を載せてきているようです。

They seem to be putting more than 3000 tourists on the large cruise ship which stops at a port from China together.

卍模様の鐘突き堂、僕もここで鐘を打ち鳴らしました(有料です)。

The ringing of a bell hall and I with the counterclockwise swastika design also beat at a bell here (There was a charge.)

海鳥が頭の周辺に飛んで来て近くによると糞まみれになってました

Many seabirds flew around the head, and an image came, and was full of feces.

このシリーズ、次回は、この街の少し北にある景勝地、野柳に向かいます(ここも世界自然遺産)

日本の城 「和歌山城」"Japanese castle "Wakayama-jo"

今日は僕の好きな城「和歌山城」

The castle to which I prefer today "Wakayama-jo"

この写真はいつも利用していたホテルの20階から撮りました

This picture was taken from the 20th floor of the hotel which was being always used.

少し暗いけど、夜のお城も素敵な雰囲気でした

It was a little dark, but a castle at night was also the nice atmosphere.

The next picture was taken from a donjon, city office (the right white building)

向こう側の森の向こうが和歌浦方面(南を向いています)

One over the thither forest, Wakanoura district (It faces to the south.)

Wakayama-jo taken from Kinokawa.

和歌山市街地の南の方にある森からお城方面を撮りましたがよく見えません.

A castle district was taken from the forest which is to the south of the Wakayama city, but it doesn't look good.

次の写真は望遠で拡大してみました(こんもりとした森の左に見えるのが天守閣)

The next picture was magnified with zooming (by seeming on the left side in forest who did thickly, donjon).

 天守閣の奥の右手に見えるビルが、最初の写真を撮ったホテル(ダイワロイネットホテル)

The hotel where Bill the back right hand side of the donjon sees took the first picture (Daiwa Roynet hotel).

和歌山は私が4年住んだ街、和歌山城は一番好きな場所でした

Wakayama was the town where I lived for 4 years, and Wakayama-jo was a favorite place most.
